Kokomo-area tournament results
Chance Taskey and Adam VanCamp took first place at last Monday evening’s Kokomo Reservoir open team bass tourney, sponsored by Cardwell Built Construction. The winners brought in five largemouth bass dropping the digital scales at 8.66 pounds. Second place and the weekly event’s “big bass” award went to Steve and Darla Kelley with four fish totaling 7.90 pounds, their largest topping out at 2.91 pounds. Third place went to Ethan Miller and Joey Beas with four fish weighing 7.21 pounds.
The Kokomo Bass Anglers recently conducted their annual two-day tournament staged on Patoka Reservoir. Wayne Eads captured first place on the first day of fishing with five largemouth bass totaling 13.07 pounds. Henry Cavazos grabbed second place and “big bass” honors with three fish weighing 8.02 pounds, his largest tipping the scales at 3.08 pounds. Third place went to Jacob Frye with two fish weighing 4.04 pounds.
Scott Vollmer snagged first place after the second day with four bass totaling 11.04 pounds. Eads scored second and “big fish” honors with two bass weighing 7.05 pounds, his largest topping out at 5.05 pounds. Third place went to Don Thompson with two fish weighing 5.13 pounds.
Bob Rose and Wayne Nolder again won last Tuesday’s Delco-Delphi Mississinewa Reservoir team bass tourney with five fish sporting a combined weight of 10.07 pounds. Keith Milburn and Ed Lyke finished second with three bass weighing seven pounds, 14 ounces. They also took home “big fish” honors after weighing in a four pound, seven ounce bass. Mike Harrison and Gary Thompson raked in third with three fish weighing six pounds, three ounces.
