Monroe Reservoir Fishing Report
The crappie are still a bit slow from all the typical bank fishing spots. Nice Wipers can be caught early in the morning if you can find bait fish near a deep water break or channel. A few Wipers and walleye can be found below the dam very early or right at sunset. If you can find submerged rip rap that is getting both direct sunshine and wind blowing ashore then the bass are feasting! Cruising a 1/4 ounce jig head just over the rip rap with a translucent green grub triggered these two fish in three casts, with a fourth fish breaking the line two casts later. Good luck and fish on my friends!
